How To Make Thandai

Soak up almonds, cashews, poppy seeds and magaz in warm water (about 3-4 hours). This makes them soft and easier to blend.
2. Prepare The Spice Blend
Place the saffron in a tablespoon of warm milk. In the meantime, crush black pepper, cumin seeds, and cardamom lightly.
3. Make The Paste
Peel the soaked almonds. Combine them with the soaked seeds, pistachios, rose petals, nutmeg, turmeric, ground spices, and a bit of milk into a fine and thick paste.
4. Mix With Milk
Warm the milk and let it cool slightly. Create the paste and mix the ingredients thoroughly. Add sugar to taste and enjoy.
5. Strain and Chill
Use a fine sieve or muslin cloth to strain the mixture to eliminate any coarse particles. Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours.

It takes approximately 30-40 minutes to prepare and mix it actively.Chilling time adds another 2–3 hours. In total, you may need around 5–6 hours.
