How to Cook / Use

Cooking Instructions: Idli

Grease the idli plates with oil.
Pour a ladle of batter into each mould until it is about three-fourths full.
Steam in an idli steamer for 15–20 minutes.
Insert a knife into the idlis. If it comes out clean, the idlis are ready.

Cooking Instructions: Dosa

Mix the batter well. If making only dosas, add a little water (about 50 ml per kg) and mix well.
Pour a ladle of batter onto a medium-hot pan.
Spread the batter in a circular motion from the centre outward to form a thin, round dosa.
Drizzle about 1 tbsp of oil over the surface and around the edges.
Cook on medium flame for 1–2 minutes.
Flip the dosa and cook for another 1 minute.
